Dejehan “Luckystickz” Hamilton - Executive Director/CEO

Luckystickz, an accomplished singer-songwriter, recording artist, and one of the most distinguished steelpan and percussion artists in Canada, is the visionary founder and executive director of the Tune In Foundation. He has graced stages internationally and is recognized as the first and only steel pannist to attend and graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music on scholarship.

Although his artistic career has been marked by remarkable achievements, Lucky's true passion lies in making a meaningful impact on humanity. Driven by this desire, he founded the Tune In Foundation, an organization that emphasizes the power of music and creativity to foster change. Lucky has transformed into a highly sought-after and internationally recognized motivational speaker, specializing in youth engagement and mentorship.

Now, Lucky devotes his efforts to expanding the Tune In Foundation's impact both locally and globally. He firmly holds the belief that we are not merely products of our environments; instead, our mindset largely shapes who we become. This belief forms the cornerstone of his commitment to nurturing growth and resilience in the next generation of creatives.

Jasmine Francis - Program Assistant

Jasmine is a distinguished academic professional and entrepreneur, boasting dual degrees from prestigious institutions, York University and Brock University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, complemented by a minor in Honours Business Administration, and a Bachelors of Education in Adult Education.

Presently, Jasmine plays a critical role at McMaster University as a Graduate Administrator and Placement Coordinator in the School of Nursing. In this capacity, she employs her robust educational background to ensure the seamless integration of students into their healthcare placements, contributing to the university's renowned reputation in the field of Nursing education.

Beyond her higher education commitments, Jasmine is an entrepreneurial force, co-owning and operating Luxe Simplicity, a bespoke business specializing in personalized decor, apparel, and signage. This venture attests to her creative flair and business acumen, further showcasing her multifaceted professional expertise.

A proud Hamiltonian with Grenadian and Dominican ancestry, Jasmine firmly believes in giving back to her community. In line with this belief, she serves as the Vice-President of the African Caribbean Cultural Potpourri Inc., a position that enables her to champion the celebration of cultural diversity.

In addition, Jasmine has recently joined the Tune In Foundation as a Program Assistant, where she brings her wealth of knowledge and passion for community service to facilitate impactful programs. Her role with the foundation reinforces her commitment to leveraging her skills and experiences for the betterment of her community.

Throughout her career, Jasmine has proven herself to be a dynamic and dedicated professional, and she looks forward to continuing her impact in both the academic and entrepreneurial arenas.

Junior Smith- Chair

Junior Smith is the Chair of the Tune In Foundation. Smith is multifaceted with varying gifts. He is a writer, singer, playwright, emcee, director, event planner, radio announcer, preacher, teacher, motivational speaker just to name a few.

Junior has worked as a high school teacher in Jamaica. He has left an indelible mark on all his students. As an educator he was instrumental in mentoring students, particularly males and was an exemplary role model. Smith is also a former radio announcer who worked at LOVE101FM Jamaica’s premier Gospel Radio Station. Since his arrival in Canada, in 2011 Mr.Smith has became the voice of Reflections and Island Style JOY Radio where he reached and uplifted countless individuals through music and words.

Junior is now the Digital Pastor at Crossroads (100 Huntley Street) in Burlington. Junior is a graduate of Tyndale University College and Seminary where he received his Bachelors in Religious Education (Distinction).

Mr. Smith received his Teacher Education Training at Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica.

Junior is married to Kerry Smith and together they have two beautiful daughter’s Awrayna and Alaya.

Charina Betty- Secretary

Charina is the secretary and Ottawa representative for the Tune In Foundation. Charina works for the Government of Canada in Ottawa and has experience in management, event coordinating and volunteering.

Charina is also a student of Carleton University.

Dennis Scott- Treasurer

Dennis owns and operates a business-consulting firm where he provides consulting services for recruitment, executive coaching and strategic planning. As a principle in the firm, Dennis' life long focus for finding the positive in all situations shines through with clients and colleagues alike. He is an inspiration to all people to move forward positively and progressively.

Dennis believes it’s mportant to prepare our youth, and adults, especially our leaders and educators, for the reality of diversity growth towards an inclusive society."

Through the promotion of arts, literature, and music this can be achieved benefitting the disenfranchised (mixed race families. internal and external cultural relations), self-knowledge (personal history and heritage), inclusivity (the value of culturally collaborative achievement), diversity management (appreciating equally the best individual for empowered progression) and human value integrity (leaving people better than you found them and resurrecting humane individual, family and community values).

Lisa Scott- Director

Lisa Scott is a motivational, inspirational Life Coach who embraces the philosophy of gratitude and giving to the world so that we can all leave it better than we found it. Lisa joyfully serves as an instrument of love and uses this pure and positive guide in her life and consulting practice. Lisa’s positive attitude and life long love for learning transcend into the customer’s world, creating great learning synergy and a real desire to achieve personal and business results and to manage change in a positive way.

Lisa Scott has a forte in Executive and Leadership Development, Employee Coaching, Employee Relations consulting, and Strategic Development. She is a skilled educator and consultant, who works collaboratively with her customers to introduce

Change, with the appropriate tools, processes and planning required to achieve their business and personal objectives.

Lisa’s credentials include a Business degree and certification in the Harvard School of Business Strategic Planning Process augmented with over twenty years of success in corporate and consulting environments for Fortune 1000 companies.

As a Senior Executive in the banking industry, Lisa’s exposure incorporated full Strategic responsibility, including organizational development, cultural change and change management, strategy development and execution.

Lisa’s positive attitude and life long love for learning transcend into the customer’s world, creating great learning synergy and a real desire to achieve personal and business results and to manage change in a productive way.

Andrea Leslie - Director

Andrea grew up in Winnipeg in a large family that encouraged lively discussions exploring social and political issues of the day and the importance of active community involvement. She has lived and worked all across Canada, travelled extensively throughout North America, backpacked through Europe, the Middle East, northern Africa and Asia. Andrea has always been extremely grateful to have the opportunity to travel and learn as much as she can from all the people she shares this world with. Andrea and her brother Michael opened and operated award winning restaurants in Fernie and Vancouver, BC. Andrea and her husband Julius Butty built and currently operate ARC, a world class recording studio in Hamilton ON. They were honoured to share their space with the inspiring young musicians from Musicapalooza this past summer and hope to continue to be able to support this incredible program. She is excited to assist the Tune In Foundation in providing opportunities for young people to follow their dreams and fulfill their potential.
